In the world of drone conferences and shows, the Commercial UAV Expo stands out this year – demonstrating that businesses across sectors recognize that drones can be a valuable piece of their operating strategy.

The Commercial UAV Expo

Only a year old, the Commercial UAV Expo is building by offering a unique set of education sessions, laser focused on industry.  While breakout sessions follow individual verticals – including surveying/mapping, precision agriculture, power and energy, law enforcement and emergency response, construction, mining, and civil infrastructure – many sessions focus on the details of implementing a drone program in large enterprises.

Market Forecasts and Trends

Industry leaders will be speaking about market forecasts and trends in the commercial drone industry: drone analyst Colin Snow will present multiple sessions including which sectors of the industry are growing, and which are not; the FAA’s Hoot Gibson will provide an update from the FAA; and multiple representatives from leading universities and research centers will present on recent innovations and the regulatory environment for commercial drones.
