Drones: More than 100,000 Jobs and More than $82 Billion in Economic Impact

According to the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, the drone industry is expected to create more than 100,000 jobs and provide more than $82 billion in economic impact by 2025.

The UAV hobby, commercial and military markets will continue to expand significantly for medium and small sized drones and for their maintenance, operation and data analysis systems.

While the military continues to make advancements in unmanned aviation, agriculture and public safety will see the fastest commercial expansion in California, with more than 300 possible UAV applications.

California Community Colleges are training tomorrow’s UAV pilots and technicians to work for established companies or start their own small businesses offering drone-related services.

UAV classes prepare students to become certified by the Federal Aviation Administration and to perform the duties required in any commercial drone setting, such as public safety, cinematic, realty, construction, transportation and surveying.
