Advanced Transportation and Logistics is one of the priority industry sectors on a new website that provides information about jobs and careers to community college students.
The TalentED Story Map allows students to visualize regional workforce needs and available educational opportunities. Counselors can also help others plan out a career path that reflects personal and financial goals.
The project is led by the Coast District under the direction of Project Director Stephanie Feger. It is funded through the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office Strong Workforce Program.
“We are pleased to introduce several new story maps in Advanced Transportation, Digital Media Arts, and Information Communications Technology that are now live on the TalentED platform,” Feger said. “This resource will be invaluable to the colleges and students in our region.”
Within each industry-level story map, users can watch short videos on the wide range of jobs associated with each industry. They can also view all companies in Orange County that are involved in a specific industry, and find a community college where they can continue their studies for a job in that field.
Further interactive display options allow users to also tailor their experience to their needs, placing themselves on the path to a great career.
TalentED is supported by Chancellor’s Office Strong Workforce Program, and the generous support of the LAOC Regional Consortium, college deans, administrators, Sector Navigators, Deputy Sector Navigators, faculty and counselors.
